Certified Energy Managers (CEM) are professionals who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field of engineering efficiency. These individuals have demonstrated high levels of experience, competence, and proficiency in the field of energy management. The CEM designation is recognized as the standard for qualifying energy professionals by the US Department of Energy (DOE), the Office of Federal Energy Management Programs (FEMP), the US Agency for International Development, numerous state energy offices and private corporations.

Professional Engineers (PE) have been licensed by the State of Ohio when they have met the legal requirements sufficient to be permitted to practice engineering. Licensure is a way to protect public health, safety and welfare. Engineers who have earned the PE designation have at the least a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, they have passed both the Fundamentals of Engineering and Principles of Practice examinations given by the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors and have four years practical experience in the engineering field.

Lighting Certified (LC) are recognized professionals who have successfully completed the National Council of Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) Lighting Certification Examination. To qualify to take the exam, the individuals must have, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and have three years of lighting-related experience, or have a total of six years of lighting-related experience. They must also demonstrate their knowledge and experience across the lighting professions including survey/audit, lighting design, financial analysis, installation & commissioning, operations and maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

Certified Lighting Efficiency Professionals (CLEP) are recognized as professionals who have completed a certification process by which practitioners in lighting and related fields, through testing, demonstrate their knowledge and experience across the lighting professions including survey/audit, lighting design, financial analysis, installation & commissioning, operations and maintenance, and regulatory compliance. This certification is recognized by the GSA and is required on any government project.

Certified Cogeneration Professionals (CCP) have demonstrated the technical knowledge requisite for development and implementation of cogeneration projects. These individuals are recognized for high levels of competence and proficiency in the field of cogeneration and independent power. They are leaders in the ongoing development of the cogeneration and distributed power industry.

Distributed Generation Certified Professionals (DGCP) are recognized for leadership and competency in the field of distributed generation. They have demonstrated the knowledge essential to the effective development and management of distributed generation projects.

Metrix™ Certified Auditors have been trained to understand your energy situation by tracking and analyzing cost and consumption. Metrix™ provides the information to effectively manage your important energy management programs. Metrix™ has set the standard for energy and utilities accounting programs.

Certified Measurement & Verification Professionals (CMVP) have demonstrated the technical knowledge requisite for performance measurement and verification (M&V). They have demonstrated high level of competence and ethical fitness in measurement and verification.

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professionals (LEED AP) promote achievements and expertise in green building with an emphasis on state-of-the-art strategies for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

Certified Building Commissioning Professionals (CBCP) are recognized as the most qualified professionals in this growing area within the energy industry, and have met the stringent professional standards within the building commissioning field. These individuals must have a four year degree in a technical field.
